Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen is thinking seriously about a possible January exit. The simple truth is that he’s not getting enough game time, and for a young goalkeeper who wants to stay sharp ahead of Denmark’s World Cup playoff plans, being stuck on the bench for long stretches doesn’t do much good.
This was reported by Fabrizio Romano via his official X account.

Jorgensen came into the season with real excitement and the belief that he would get more minutes. But as the games rolled on, he still hasn’t played as much as he expected. Even though he has looked sharp in training, Chelsea haven’t given him the kind of consistent run that a goalkeeper usually needs, especially one trying to grow and maintain rhythm.
For now, Chelsea still has the final say. They value him, but the key point remains: Jorgensen is open to trying something different in January, maybe a move that helps him stay in good condition for the national team. He just wants to feel involved and not like a backup who barely steps on the pitch.

Jörgensen, who last played for Chelsea in the club’s 5-1 win over Ajax in the Champions League, joined Chelsea for an undisclosed fee believed to be around £20 million, signing a seven-year contract. The long deal showed how much the club valued him, but so far, the reality on the pitch hasn’t matched the expectations that came with that move.
With Jorgensen’s main competition being Roberto Sánchez, who reportedly has his sights set on the Premier League Golden Glove this season, as reported by Softfootball. Jorgensen knows he’ll have to fight hard for his place in the Chelsea squad. Nothing has been finalised yet, and the January transfer window can be unpredictable and hectic, with decisions often happening quickly. For now, he is keeping his head down, training hard, and hoping that circumstances shift in his favour as the second half of the season approaches.
