After Manchester City’s convincing win over Newcastle United to book their place in the FA Cup final, the noise quickly shifted from the pitch to social media.
City’s official X account shared the full-time message celebrating the victory, and the replies instantly turned into a heated debate about the Wembley final against Arsenal. Fans from both sides piled in with bold predictions, praise, and a bit of friendly trash talk.
Softfootball reported that Before the match, Newcastle boss Eddie Howe had struck a defiant tone, saying his team had to “try and win the game” and show belief. On the night, though, City’s quality proved too much as they controlled the tie and booked their trip to Wembley.

In the comments, one City fan, Christopher, was full of admiration for the standout performer, dubbing him
the new Egyptian King
in glowing praise. Not everyone was convinced City would have it their way at Wembley, though. Another user, The Bold One, predicted trouble for Pep Guardiola’s side, warning:
“Only to lose 3-0 to Arsenal at Wembley. You will see terrible things that day…”
There was also a direct message aimed at City’s midfield leader Rodri, with one fan reminding him that dominance at the Etihad won’t guarantee success on neutral ground:
“Don’t forget that winning mentality at home you’ll need it at Wembley too.”
With City through and Arsenal waiting, the online noise is already building the hype. If the reaction is anything to go by, Wembley won’t just host a final it’s set to stage a proper showdown.
