Softfootball understands that the club hopes the new area will help create a more exciting atmosphere inside the stadium as the team prepares to face one of England’s top teams. Everton made the announcement on their official X handle saying,

Everton will trial the use of the Western Terrace at Hill Dickinson Stadium for supporters to welcome David Moyes and his players ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash with Arsenal (8pm kick-off).

Everton will be going into the match after the difficult 2-0 defeat from Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, so they would want extra support from fans at home. Everton’s new stadium, Hill Dickinson has become known for its strong crowd support and louder atmosphere compared to the old Goodison Park.

The Western Terrace will allow supporters to gather early enough to cheer the players and their coach, David Moyes as they arrive at the stadium. The club and fan groups hope this will be a memorable way to start the big match against Arsenal who had just defeated Wolves 2-1 and are at sitting top of the Premier League table this season.

The club also reminded supporters to follow all safety instructions during the trial and arrive early to take part in the welcome.
