Everton have confirmed the sacking of Sean Dyche as their senior men’s first-team manager, with former club legend Leighton Baines stepping in on an interim basis alongside captain Seamus Coleman.
The decision comes amid a difficult run of results for the Toffees, prompting the club’s board to act swiftly in search of a fresh direction.

The statement read:
Everton Football Club can confirm that Sean Dyche has been relieved of his duties as Senior Men’s First Team Manager with immediate effect.
Ian Woan, Steve Stone, Mark Howard and Billy Mercer have also left the Club.
Everton also confirmed that the search for a permanent successor is already underway, with further updates expected in the coming weeks. The statement added:
Under-18s Head Coach Leighton Baines and Club Captain Seamus Coleman will take charge of first-team affairs on an interim basis,
as the club looks to stabilize results in the short term.
