Everton have reached an agreement to sign Jack Grealish from Manchester City, and the two teams have settled on an arrangement that will see the midfielder spend the 2025/26 season on loan at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Softfootball understands that Tottenham Hotspur submitted an enquiry earlier for the 29-year-old soon after James Maddison suffered an ACL injury in pre-season.
However, Everton are believed to have held a strong interest in Grealish throughout this summer and recently ‘ramped up’ their efforts to sign City’s No.10 after entering club-to-club talks earlier this month.

Grealish’s arrival will be a huge boost for Everton, who have made progress after a frustrating start to the summer transfer window. He has been exploring his options after being left out of the Manchester City squad for this summer’s Club World Cup.
Fabrizio Romano via his X account is now reporting that the England international has given his approval to the move and winger is set to undergo a medical with Everton on Monday. He tweeted:
“EXCL: Jack Grealish to Everton, here we go! Loan deal agreed with Man City and medical booked later today.
Grealish said yes to #EFC project and he’s now set to complete his move in next 24 hours.
New addition for David Moyes”.
Grealish started just seven times in the Premier League last season and is keen to secure regular first team football to boost his chances of making England’s World Cup squad. The move to Everton will also mean Grealish does not have to relocate from the North West.
He is set to become Everton’s sixth signing of the summer and will improve the creative options in David Moyes’s squad. The Toffees will cover the majority of his salary during the loan spell, though there is not expected to be a buy option in the deal.
