Crystal Palace midfielder, Eberechi Eze is waiting patiently for greenlight before undergoing medicals at Tottenham Hotspurs ahead of his transfer to the North London side.
Softfootball understands that the negotiations between the Eagles and Spurs are in the final stages after both club chairman stepped in to help the deal accelerate quicker before transfer deadline on September 1.

According to transfer expert, Florian Plettenberg via his official X handle, Eze has set his mind on a move to Tottenham despite interest from other clubs.
He said:
“Advanced talks now ongoing between Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace regarding Eberechi Eze.
“All parties involved are optimistic about completing the deal before Deadline Day. Eze is 100% committed to joining #Spurs and is waiting for the green light to undergo his medical.
“The deal could be worth up to €70 million.
“Despite rumors FC Bayern was never seriously involved as always reported.”
Tottenham Hotspurs move for the 27-year-old became inevitable following the injury to former Leicester City midfielder James Madison and departure of Captain Son Heung-min to Major League Soccer (MLS).
Interestingly, Crystal Palace Coach, Oliver Glasner wants Eze, who to be involved in his side’s first European match on Thursday night as they take on Fredrikstad in the UEFA Conference League, while Spurs are pushing for the England midfielder to be available against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in the match-day 2 of the Premier League.
Eze’s current contract at Crystal Palace is due to expire in the summer of 2027. He scored 14 goals in all competitions last season and Palace fans will never forget that he scored the winner during their 1-0 win against Manchester City to lift the FA Cup.
Eze joined Crystal Palace from Queens Park Rangers (QPR) in a deal worth £19.5m in 2020 and has scored 40 goals in 168 appearances in all competitions for the club.
Eze featured for Crystal Palace last week in the opening day of the premier league and even had a freekick goal disallowed by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) as they came out of Stamford Bridge with a goalless draw against FIFA Club World Cup champions Chelsea.
