Chelsea defender Axel Disasi has expressed confidence that the Blues have what it takes to win the UEFA Europa Conference League this season.
Softfootball gathered that the French centre-back believes Chelsea are determined to restore their reputation in European football after missing out on continental competition last season.
The Blues will continue their Conference League campaign with an away clash against Greek side Panathinaikos on Thursday, aiming to maintain their impressive start under manager Enzo Maresca.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Disasi said Chelsea’s history in Europe naturally places expectations on the team to challenge for the trophy.
The French defender noted that winning the competition would make Chelsea the first club in history to complete the unique set of lifting the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League titles.
Disasi admitted the squad has not formally discussed season objectives, but stressed that competing for trophies is part of the club’s identity and remains the clear ambition.
He also described Chelsea’s absence from European football last season as unusual, insisting the players are fully motivated to make the most of their return to continental competition.
According to the defender, the squad is determined to perform strongly throughout the campaign and help return Chelsea to the level where the club belongs among Europe’s elite.
