Rangers manager Philippe Clement has praised Cyriel Dessers for his impressive performance after the Nigeria international scored a hat-trick in the club’s 5-0 Scottish Cup victory over Fraserburgh on Sunday.
Dessers opened the scoring before adding his second goal shortly before the hour mark. He was denied a third when his header struck the post, but the striker eventually completed his treble after rounding the goalkeeper and finding the net late in the game.
The forward has recently struggled for regular starts due to the impressive form of Hamza Igamane, but Clement believes Dessers’ attitude and hard work have been rewarded.
Speaking via the club’s official website, the Rangers boss highlighted the striker’s mentality and his contribution to the squad. He noted:

Softfootball reports that Dessers has now registered 16 goals and five assists in 33 appearances across all competitions this season.
Clement will hope the striker’s latest performance can boost his confidence ahead of Rangers’ Europa League meeting with Manchester United at Old Trafford.
