Football unites people more than most things around the world and at the Sunderland versus Arsenal game despite it being keenly contested, there was friendship and heartfelt hugs shared by the players, Softfootball reports.
Sunderland scored a late goal to earn a 2-2 draw against Arsenal at the Stadium of Light. The Gunners had not conceded a goal since September when they beat Newcastle United 2-1 at Saint James’ Park but were stretched against the newly promoted side.

During the encounter there was huge midfield battle between Declan Rice and Granit Xhaka as they tried to control the tempo of the game. The tackles were flying in and Xhaka was keen to show he is boss of the midfield as he played for Arsenal in the past before he left for Bayer Levekusen.
Returning to the premier league he has been fantastic for Sunderland and they are six matches unbeaten at home after they earned a last minute equaliser against the Gunners.

Despite the near fight moments after the match, Declan Rice and Granit Xhaka hugged after the encounter and it was captured by the Black Cats official X handle and they shared that special moment which goes beyond football but shows humanity.
