Dean Huijsen has left the Spanish camp and will report back to Real Madrid after picking up a muscle issue, Softfootball reports.
The young center-back, who joined the Los Blancos from Premier League outfit Bournemouth missed Spain’s 4-0 thrashing of Georgia in their last match in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The final game against Turkey is the most crucial as it will guarantee Spain a World Cup spot but they would have to do it without Huijsen as revealed by football expert, Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle. He wrote:

Interestingly, Huijsen played in Real Madrid goalless draw against Rayo Vallecano in their last LaLiga match before the international break but he reported to the Spain camp just like every other player but was unable to play due to the injury.
Spain hosts Turkey in the final match of Group E as a draw will see them qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup to be hosted in the North American countries of the United States, Mexico and Canada.

Spain currently have 15 points, having won all their five matches, scoring 19 goals without conceding any so far while Turkey has 12 points from the same number of matches.
