Roberto De Zerbi has reaffirmed his commitment to Tottenham Hotspur, insisting he will remain head coach regardless of whether the club is relegated, as confirmed by Fabrizio Romano via his x handle.
Softfootball earlier reported Tottenham officially appointed De Zerbi on March 31, 2026, on a four-year contract following the dismissal of Igor Tudor, who left after just 44 days in charge and a seven-game winless run.
Fabrizio posted:
Roberto De Zerbi confirms he’s 100% committed and ready to stay at Tottenham even in case of relegation. “It’s a big challenge and I will be the coach of Tottenham next season — no matter what”.

The appointment marks Spurs’ third managerial change of the season and comes amid a serious relegation battle. The club currently sits 17th in the Premier League table, just one point above the drop zone, following a heavy 3–0 defeat to Nottingham Forest on March 22.
De Zerbi now faces the immediate task of stabilizing results and securing Tottenham’s top-flight status.
