FA Cup holders, Crystal Palace want to reunite with former player Conor Gallagher, who is currently at Atletico Madrid, Softfootball reports.
The 25-year-old enjoyed a successful loan at Selhurst Park in the 2021/22 season as he formed a formidable midfield partnership with Eberechi Eze and the rest of the Palace team.
However, Chelsea refused to make his deal permanent as he played for the Blues in a two-year successful spell. His performances drew attention from Atletico Madrid and they signed him for £36 million. The Spanish outfit are open to selling him this summer.

According to football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle, he believes Crystal Palace are seriously chasing a deal for the player this summer.
He said:
“Crystal Palace have approached Atlético Madrid over potential return for Conor Gallagher.
“Concrete interest for loan move but nothing agreed at this stage, initial talks took place.
“One to watch based on Atlético decision – follows @BobbyManzi info.”
Crystal Palace have the money to spend after the huge sale of Eberechi Eze to Arsenal. The former Queens Park Rangers (QPR) was unveiled at the Emirates on Saturday just before the Gunners game against Leeds United where they won 5-0 to confirm their 100% record in the Premier league this season.
Newcastle United which were the other Premier League side to have enquired a few weeks ago about Gallagher are officially out of the race after signing Jacob Ramsey from Aston Villa for £43m.
Gallagher played 50 times for Atletico Madrid in all competitions last season, scoring four goals and providing six assists.
This season Diego Someone has only given him 67 minutes in the two LaLiga opening matches of the season. Gallagher needs to leave to find more regular playing time ahead of the 2026 World Cup year.
The current England manager, Thomas Tuchel appreciates Gallagher a lot, having worked with him at Chelsea in the past.
