Real Madrid have announced that goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has picked up a fresh muscle injury, dealing another blow to the club’s already stretched squad. After the disappointing draw away to Rayo Vallecano last sunday, the Belgian star was diagnosed with an issue in his right leg after undergoing medical tests earlier today.
While the issue is not believed to be serious, it marks a cautious pause in Courtois’ return to full match rhythm. The veteran goalkeeper going further in the season will most likely have to accomondate Andriy Lunin as manager Xabi Alonso looks to continue to balance workload and fitness within his squad.

According to a statemet released via Real Madrid official X handle, they stated;
Following tests carried out today on our player Thibaut Courtois by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the long abductor muscle in his right leg. His recovery will be assessed.

Meanwhile, Softfootball earlier reported that Fede Valverde also suffered a thigh injury in training and is expected to miss some time on the sidelines. His absence adds to an already concerning list of unavailable players that includes Dani Carvajal and David Alaba, both recovering from ongoing fitness problems.
With a packed run of fixtures ahead, including key Champions League and La Liga clashes, Madrid’s depth will once again be tested as Alonso looks to keep his team competitive across all fronts.
