Christian Pulisic scored the winner as AC Milan emerged victorious in the Derby della Madonnina over archrivals Inter Milan at the Sansiro stadium, Softfootball reports.
The match was identical to the one against Gian Gasperini’s men when AC Milan defeated Roma 1-0 in a Serie A clash. In that game, France international goalkeeper, Mike Maignan saved a penalty that ensured victory.
After their 2-2 draw against Parma before the international break, Massimiliano Allegri’s side needed to bounce back to winning ways and they did in great satisfaction as it come during a derby. Maignan saved a penalty from Hakan Calhanoglu while Pulisic got the winner at the other end.

Luka Modric was also fantastic in midfield providing passes for wingers like Rafael Leao.
For Inter Milan, Nicolo Barella and Calhanoglu battled hard in midfield while Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram led the forward line in a pulsating encounter that got fans at the edges of their seats.
The game was well contested by both teams but it was the home team that almost went in front when Francesco Acerbi connected a cross from Turkist star, Hakan Calhanoglu and slammed his header off the cross bar with the AC Milan goalkeeper completely beaten.
With Inter dominating play, a lose of concentration allowed Youssouf Fofana to rob Calhanoglu in midfield and that sparked a swift counter attack. He played the ball into Saelemaekers but his shot was pushed away by Yann Sommer at full stretch but only into the path of Pulisic and the American made no mistake with his rebound from close range to give the away side the lead.
Inter then had the chance to level scores when they were awarded a penalty but Calhanoglu’s shot from 12 yards was saved by Maignan. AC Milan held on for the rest of the encounter to win 1-0.
