The visitors set the tone early, controlling possession and forcing Panathinaikos deep into their own half. The breakthrough arrived in the 22nd minute when João Félix coolly slotted home after linking brilliantly with Mykhailo Mudryk, setting the pace for what would become an impressive individual night for the Portuguese forward.

Chelsea returned from halftime with renewed purpose, and it took only four minutes for Mudryk to extend the lead. The Ukrainian winger capitalised on a swift passing move, finishing confidently to make it 2–0 and leave the Greek side scrambling to contain the relentless pressure.

Félix struck again in the 55th minute, drifting into space inside the penalty area before firing beyond Bartłomiej Drągowski to secure his brace. Just four minutes later, Christopher Nkunku added Chelsea’s fourth from the penalty spot, rewarding another sharp attacking spell.

Panathinaikos managed a consolation goal through Facundo Pellistri in the 69th minute, as the winger finished off a rare attacking opportunity for the hosts. However, the Greek side struggled to impose themselves, registering just four shots on target and spending long stretches without the ball.
