Chelsea Stars Spread Christmas Cheer Ahead of Busy Premier League Schedule

Christmas Day ended up being about more than just food, family, and time off for Chelsea supporters. On Thursday, December 25, 2025, a handful of first-team players took a moment to send festive messages, following Chelsea’s 2-2 draw against Newcastle United.

Marc Cucurella was one of the first faces fans saw in a video posted by the club via their official X account. The Spanish defender sent out a cheerful Christmas.

Softfootball understands that over the last year, his bond with the Chelsea crowd has grown naturally. The passion he shows on the pitch is not forced, and fans tend to notice that sort of thing.

Pedro Neto, who last scored for Chelsea in the club’s 3-1 victory against Cardiff, followed with his own greeting.

He stated:

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year for all Chelsea fans!

It’s been a strong season for him under Enzo Maresca. Playing out of position at times, even filling in as a striker, Neto has handled it with confidence and energy.

His flexibility has played a part in a memorable year that included winning both the UEFA Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup in 2025.

Trevoh Chalobah also took the chance to say thank you. His message was about appreciation, about support, and wishing fans well for the holidays.

He said with a smile:

Thank you for your support this year.  Chelsea fans and we wish you guys a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

For Chalobah, 2025 has been a big step forward. He earned his first England call-up and has quietly become reliable in Maresca’s system.

Young midfielder Santos added a softer note, wishing fans a happy new year spent with people they care about.

He emphasised:

Hi guys, I hope you have a great new year and that you enjoy it with the people you love.

These messages also connect with Chelsea’s Magic of Blue Christmas campaign, released in November, which focused on togetherness and community.

With Aston Villa up next on December 27, the break is short. Still, moments like this remind fans that football isn’t only about results. Sometimes, it’s about people, too.
