Softfootball analysts have pointed to the FIFA Club World Cup as a factor that impacted Chelsea’s ability to properly reinforce the squad. The club struggled to fully evaluate its squad depth, leading to signings that have not entirely fit into the team’s overall style of play.

However, players such as Alejandro Garnacho, Liam Delap, and Andrey Santos have contributed positively during the 2025/26 season.

Training images and clips have also surfaced showing Wesley Fofana and Estêvão Willian preparing ahead of the clash against Everton scheduled for Saturday, 21th March 2026.

On the other hand, Cole Palmer has not been as prolific, with some critics labeling him a “one-season wonder.” However, questions remain whether his dip in form is due to injuries rather than a decline in ability.

This is a crucial moment for Chelsea to remain united and push toward a top-four finish. It appears increasingly unlikely that the club will win any trophy this season, including the FA Cup, given current performances.

There are concerns around the team’s overall structure includinf lack of belief, cohesion, understanding, and work rate. These issues must be addressed before tactical or formation adjustments can be effective.

The upcoming Everton clash will be a tough test, but Chelsea fans must remain optimistic, with only 7–8 games left in the 2025/26 season.
