Chelsea players have finally enjoyed a much-needed rest after a demanding schedule since January 2026. Since the arrival of Liam Rosenior, Chelsea have barely had a free midweek, juggling domestic and cup commitments.
However, following their 4:0 victory over Hull City, in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Friday, 13th February 2026, the squad was given rare time off before returning to action on Saturday, 21st February.

Rosenior allowed his players to recharge, with several travelling abroad during the short break. Cole Palmer was seen enjoying time in Dubai with his partner, while Reece James, Pedro Neto and Marc Cucurella were also spotted in Dubai. Meanwhile, Alejandro Garnacho spent time in Egypt.

The Chelsea manager described the break as an opportunity to review performances, analyse areas for improvement and plan strategically for the crucial final phase of the season. Meetings with his coaching staff were also part of the schedule as preparations intensify.

Softfootball believes this rest period could provide the energy boost Chelsea need for the final push. With the race for a top-four finish heating up, every detail will matter once fixtures resume. From now until the end of the 2025/26 season, the schedule is expected to be relentless.
Beyond club ambitions, players must also keep one eye on international duty. The 2026 FIFA World Cup, scheduled from 11 June to 19 July 2026, is fast approaching. Strong performances at club level will be key for those hoping to secure places in their respective national squads.
