In more concrete developments, Chelsea are preparing a new long-term deal for Marc Cucurella. The Spanish full-back, who was the club’s most-used outfield player last season with 54 appearances, has firmly won over the coaching staff and is considered central to Enzo Maresca’s tactical plans.
While reports recently linked Cucurella with a potential move to Al-Nassr, Chelsea sources insist there have been no talks, and the player is focused on staying. With depth in midfield already covered through the likes of Caicedo, Palmer, and Fernández, Chelsea’s recruitment is now focused on plugging the few remaining gaps, and left-back is near the top of that list.
