CAS has scheduled October 8, 2026 as the hearing date for the appeal lodged by the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) against CAF and the Royal Moroccan Football Federation over the outcome of the 2025 AFCON final.
This comes after the CAF Appeal Board officially ruled that the Senegal national team forfeited the AFCON 2025 final, awarding the Morocco national team a 3–0 victory and the continental title 57 days after the match.
Softfootball understands the ruling was made under Article 84, following Senegal’s decision to walk off the pitch during the chaotic final in Morocco amid disputes over officiating. Initially, Senegal had been celebrated as champions, marking what appeared to be their second Africa Cup of Nations title after their 2021 triumph.
