Bournemouth and Newcastle United played out a hard-fought 0-0 draw at the Vitality Stadium, as Eddie Howe’s winless run against his former club stretched to seven matches, Softfootball reports.
The result also comes just days after Newcastle’s disappointing 2-1 defeat to Barcelona in the Champions League last Thursday, leaving their struggles in front of goal firmly in the spotlight.

The Cherries, riding high after their best-ever start to a Premier League season with nine points from four matches, looked confident from the off. Tyler Adams tested Nick Pope with a low drive early on, while David Brooks thought he had put Bournemouth ahead after turning in Evanilson’s cross, only for VAR to chalk it off for a marginal offside.
Newcastle, who looked flat after their midweek exertions in Europe, rarely threatened, with Jacob Murphy’s effort from a tight angle the best they could muster before the break.

After the restart, Bournemouth continued to push as Nick Woltemade saw penalty appeals waved away following Bafodé Diakité’s challenge, while Antoine Semenyo’s driving run caused further problems for the Magpies’ defence. Both managers looked to their benches to inject life into the contest, but the spark never arrived. The best late chance fell to substitute Justin Kluivert, whose curling free-kick was parried away by Pope to preserve Newcastle’s clean sheet.
Meanwhile, Newscastle during the game were happy to post via their official X handle, Newcastle fans in Kansas city, watching and supporting the club in the early hours of the morning, this shows inclusivity and togetherness which is what football is all about, a game of love, watch the video below;

While Bournemouth’s three-game winning streak at home came to an end, Andoni Iraola will be encouraged by his side’s control and intensity across the 90 minutes. Newcastle, however, now find themselves without a goal in four straight away league games and winless in six Premier League outings dating back to last season. With the start to ther UCL campaign stuttering and domestic form under scrutiny, Howe’s men are under increasing pressure to find answers in attack.
