Manchester United’s hopes of swiftly offloading Jadon Sancho to Juventus have suffered a blow following the signing of Francisco Conceição by the Italian giants who are now focused on letting go current wingers before making any further additions to their attacking ranks.
Sancho spent the last campaign at Chelsea but failed to secure a permanent transfer to West London. The 25-year-old showed promising signs early on, and was even lauded as an ‘amazing’ player by Arsenal legend Ian Wright. However, his levels went south in the second half of the season, convincing the Blues to pay a £5 million penalty to relieve themselves of the obligation to buy set at £25 million.

Like four other Man United stars, Sancho has been considered surplus to requirements, as Ruben Amorim has no desire to bet on a revival. Therefore, he has been told to find himself a new club, unless he wants to spend the remaining year in his contract on the sidelines.
Luckily for the England international, he found himself a top suitor in the shape of Juventus who have been making significant progress in their talks with both the player’s entourage and Man Utd.
Nevertheless, Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has revealed that the Bianconeri have decided to put the transfer ‘on hold’.
According to the report, Juventus are now set to announce the arrival of Francisco Conceicao who will complete a permanent transfer after impressing last season while on loan from Porto.
The Serie A giants were able to make room for the Portuguese’s arrival by selling Samuel Mbangula to Werder Bremen, yet another transfer that will be announced in the coming days.
Hence, in order to make a final push for Sancho, Juventus must offload another winger, as it is paramout for the club to maintain balanced accounts.
Juventus looked like frontrunners for Jadon Sancho, but their interest has cooled for now opening the door for Inter Milan, who are reportedly eyeing a move for the winger. Manchester United remain keen to offload Sancho and are growing concerned that both he and Antony could still be at Old Trafford when the transfer window closes on September 1.
