According to football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle, he claims that Besiktas are already in talks for the Nigerian.

He said:

“Besiktas have sent a formal bid to Leicester City for Wilfred Ndidi as potential option for midfield. Talks ongoing.”

Ndidi is a solid defensive midfielder. The former Genk star is an excellent tackler with a very good interception skills and positioning.

He has improved with how he distributes the ball effectively and his disciplined approach during matches. He’s pace and ability to cover ground quickly makes him a key player in a high-pressing system.

Ndidi is also versatile that he can play as an attacking midfielder to get goals and assists or as a center back to prevent the goals from going in.

At the start of this summer window, Manchester United were said to be at his trail because of how affordable he was but decided to go for other targets.

Coincidentally, former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is the Coach of Besiktas. Although, he is under a lot of pressure following some poor results at the end of last season.

So, it is not sure if Ndidi would play under Ndidi or a new Coach. The Nigerian is disciplined and keeps possession reach week. He often do not grab the headlines, his contributions are crucial for a team, providing a solid foundation for their attacks.
