Bayern dominated possession and created chances almost at will as Auckland struggled to cope with the German club’s movement and attacking quality. The victory also provided an immediate boost to Vincent Kompany’s team as they target the global title.
Harry Kane was among the scorers, continuing his excellent goalscoring form since moving to Munich. Several other Bayern attackers also found the net as the German side maintained relentless pressure throughout the contest.
