Softfootball understands that Barcelona are continuing their long-term pursuit of Alessandro Bastoni. A post shared by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano via his official X channel, shows that the Inter Milan defender has been a priority target for months.
The 27-year-old Italian international is aware of the interest, but the deal remains complex due to Inter’s valuation, which is believed to be between €50–70 million an amount that could test Barcelona’s financial limits.
Romano revealed:
Barcelona consider Alessandro Bastoni as their top target since months ago. Deal will depend on negotiations with Inter; price tag has not been confirmed yet despite reports on €50m. Bastoni, aware of Barça serious and concrete interest.
Barcelona who recently extended their lead at the top of the league with a hard-fought 1–0 win over Rayo Vallecano, while also showcasing their European strength with a dominant display against Newcastle United in the UEFA Champions League strongly, believe that Bastoni’s profile makes him an ideal fit for Barcelona’s system, given his composure, defensive intelligence, and elite progressive passing ability.

Meanwhile, a potential partnership with rising star Pau Cubarsí is already being discussed among fans, as the club looks to strengthen a defense that has conceded around 1.1 goals per game in La Liga this season.
In other news, Giuliano Simeone has reaffirmed his loyalty to Atlético Madrid, dismissing any links to rivals Real Madrid.
