All is set for the 2025 Ballon D’Or which is holding at the beautiful Theatre du Chatelet in Paris with Barcelona superstar, Lamine Yamal arriving the venue with his family, Softfootball reports.
The Spain international is rated as massive favourite to win the award despite not winning the UEFA Champions League which was won by Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), where his main rival Ousmane Dembele plays.
Yamal has missed Barcelona’s matches since he got injured on international duty with Spain and he was in the stands at the weekend when the Catalan giants destroyed Getafe 3-0 at home.
The Ballon D’Or official X handle shared a video on Yamal arriving with his family and going straight to the red carpet outside the venue before entering the hall.

— Ballon d'Or (@ballondor) September 22, 2025Yamal is set to make history as the youngest winner of the Ballon D’Or following an outstanding campaign with Barcelona which saw them win the Spanish League and Copa Del Rey but were eliminated in the UCL semi-final by Inter Milan. The Barcelona star also helped his country Spain to win the European Championship.
The Italian club eventually lost out in the final to a PSG side led by the amazing Dembele. This season, Yamal already missed Barcelona’s first Champions League game this season as they defeated Newcastle United 2-1 at Saint James’ Park on Thursday last week.
It was the England international, Marcus Rashford that too center stage as he scored the brace that gave Hansi Flick’s men the deserved win.
