Softfootball can report that Barcelona have confirmed the registration of duo players Roony Bardghji and Marc Bernal in their UEFA Champions League squad to add youthful depth to Hansi Flick’s options for the upcoming football campaign.
The inclusion of defender Bernal is a quick fix for Barcelona due to the injury to Alejandro Balde, which the defender incurred on Wednesday during training. According to the club, Balde was said to have suffered a slight injury to his left hamstring on Wednesday during a training session.
According to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, he revealed that Barcelona have included the two youngsters ahead of the Champions League group stage campaign, which is scheduled for this month.
Fabrizio wrote on his X handle as this:
Barcelona have registered Roony Bardghji in the Champions League squad with the number 28. Marc Bernal also registered, with the number 22 shirt.

The Swedish winger Bardghji, who joined Barca this summer from FC Copenhagen, will wear the No. 28 shirt in Europe, while Spanish-born Bernal will take the No. 22 shirt. The 19-year-old is seen as one of the most promising attacking prospects in La Liga, and his inclusion tends to achieve Barça’s long-term vision of blending young talent with senior quality.
Barcelona’s Champions League campaign will begin with a first-time visit to St James’ Park against Newcastle on Thursday, 18th September.
