Aston Villa vs Bologna confirmed lineup: Sancho benched, Martinez absent 

Aston Villa head coach Unai Emery has selected his starting lineup for Thursday’s Europa League fixture against Bologna Softfootball can report.

Despite Villa being winless in six matches this campaign, Emery has decided to make a number of alterations for the game in the West Midlands.

Jadon Sancho who was added to Aston Villa’s Europa League squad of season was also benched for tonight’s game. 

Coach Unai Emery also changed his attacking options with Watkins benched ahead of the game.

Meanwhile, Goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez who got his first game of the season in the barren draw against Everton wasn’t included in the squad as he was replaced by Marco Bizot. 

A total of four changes have been made in total with Tyrone Mings and Lucas Digne not being included in the backline.

Marco Bizot, Pau Torres, Ian Maatsen and Donyell Malen are the quartet to be introduced into the starting lineup.

Hopefully, Coach Unai Emery will be seeking to break his winless run this evening in the Europa league againsg Italian side Bologna. Both teams have only met one and it was in the Champions league where Villa stunned their Italian counterparts two-nil at the Villa park courtesy of Jhon Duran and John McGinn’s second half goals.
