Arteta on Kai Havertz: “It will be a matter of days, not weeks. Let’s see in the next steps how he responds to that”. “Kai is a player that we missed a lot, a player that brings the team into a different dimension”.

From the manager’s words, he is hopeful that Havertz will return in a matter of days and no longer weeks like he had spoken in his previous injury update which included that of William Saliva and Leandro Trossard.

He also noted that the club will monitor how Havertz responds to the next stages of training and recovery before deciding on his full return to the squad.

Areta acknowledged how important Havertz is to Arsenal’s attack by talking about how much they’ve missed him and what he brings to the team. It’s clear that Havertz’s presence on the pitch brings a different attacking strategy, creates chances and adds skills that weren’t there while he was away.

Since he joined Arsenal, the German forward has been one of their key attacking players before he was faced with injury. He was known for his creativity and goal threat but Arteta was forced to reshuffle players in forward positions because of his absence.

This news update from Mikel Arteta has been a long anticipated one and it brings much needed hopes to the club and supporters that Havertz would return to full action soon.
