After losing the 2025/26 Carabao Cup final, Arsenal are being urged to prioritise winning a major trophy, particularly the Premier League. Softfootball notes a similarity between Arsenal’s current campaign and Liverpool’s 2024/25 season trajectory.

In that season, Liverpool finished top of their UEFA Champions League group, reached the Carabao Cup final, losing to Newcastle United and progressed deep into the FA Cup. They were eventually eliminated from the Champions League by Paris Saint-Germain, before focusing their efforts on securing the league title.
There is a view among some Arsenal supporters that the current squad is capable of competing for all four major trophies. However, history suggests how difficult that task is. Only a team managed by Pep Guardiola at Manchester City has achieved a domestic quadruple in England, with exceptional squad depth where even substitute players could start for other top clubs.

Guardiola has also secured a treble, winning the Premier League, FA Cup, and Carabao Cup in a single season, further illustrating the level of consistency and quality required.
Given this context, Arsenal are advised to focus on breaking their trophy drought by securing one major title, with the Premier League identified as the primary objective. Building on that success in future seasons could then position the club to challenge for multiple trophies.
Supporters are encouraged to adopt a realistic perspective. Should disappointment occur in competitions like the FA Cup, it should not overshadow the broader objective of winning the league title this season.
