Kai Havertz has expressed delight following his return from a 5-month injury layoff after he came on as a substitute in Arsenal’s 4-1 victory over Portsmouth in the third round of the FA Cup, Softfootball reports.
The German international last played for the Gunners on the opening day of the premier league season when Arsenal secured a 1-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford and since then he has been missed until his return on Sunday evening.

Kai Havertz was speaking after the Portsmouth in an interview shared by Arsenal’s official X handle. He said:
It’s a special feeling, it’s amazing for myself. I’m just happy to be back with the boys and I hope I can help them as much as possible now. I think the way the boys have played the last couple of months, it was so nice even to watch from the outside, even though it’s always very hard to be in a situation like this. But just to watch them was amazing and I’m very happy to be with them now.

Kai Havertz’s introduction from the bench was cheered loudly by Gunners fans, who made the trip down from north London as it was a lovely thing for them to see him back fit after suffering a knee injury on the opening day against Manchester United.
