Softfootball understands that Arsenal and Liverpool played out a hard-fought 0–0 draw at the Emirates Stadium, the first time the two sides have failed to score in a Premier League meeting since August 2015.
The stalemate brought an end to the Gunners’ seven-game winning run in all competitions, following their recent 3-2 victory against Bournemouth and a 4-1 victory against Aston Villa, and served as a timely reminder that the title race is far from settled, despite Arsenal’s commanding position.
After the game Arsenal shared a post about the result via their official X account.

Framed as a clash between the champions-elect and the reigning holders, Mikel Arteta’s men came into the contest eager to tighten their grip at the top following Manchester City’s slip-up in midweek. Arsenal started sharply, almost smelling an opportunity to land an early blow.
Bukayo Saka was lively down the right flank, repeatedly unsettling Liverpool’s defence. Cutting inside onto his stronger foot, the winger forced Alisson into a low save with Arsenal’s first meaningful effort.

Yet that bright opening nearly unravelled in dramatic fashion. William Saliba’s loose backpass caught David Raya in two minds, allowing Conor Bradley to pounce. His attempted chip had the home crowd holding their breath, only to crash back off the crossbar.
Liverpool weathered the early storm well after that, digging in defensively. Milos Kerkez summed up their resistance with a brave block to deny Saka from close range, a moment that felt almost as valuable as a goal.

Liverpool emerged with greater purpose after the break. Florian Wirtz danced his way into the area and went down under pressure from Leandro Trossard, but appeals for a penalty were waved away.
Arsenal’s rhythm dipped further when Piero Hincapié was forced off through injury just before the hour, and Jeremie Frimpong began to find joy against the young Myles Lewis-Skelly, though the final pass kept letting him down.

Dominik Szoboszlai drove Liverpool forward in the closing stages, testing from range and linking play smartly. His free kick, brushing the roof of the net, came agonisingly close to breaking the deadlock. Arsenal had one last chance to steal it late on, but Gabriel headed wide from a corner.
In the end, neither side could land the decisive punch. Liverpool extend their unbeaten run to 10 games in all competitions, while Arsenal move six points clear at the top, with City and Aston Villa still lurking.
