Arsenal have reportedly struck an agreement to sign Shamrock Rovers midfielder Victor Ozhianvuna in what is set to be a record fee for the League of Ireland Premier Division.
The news comes a day after Eberechi Eze was presented as the Gunners’ seventh signing of the summer during Arsenal clash against Leeds United at Emirate Stadium on Saturday taking their spending past the £250m mark.

The 16-year-old, who is already playing first team football in the League of Ireland’s Premier Division, will sign a pre-contract with Arsenal which means he will join when he turns 18 in January 2027.
For Arsenal sporting director, at the moment it appears as though attention would firmly switch towards any potential outgoings. However, there are still opportunities to bolster the Hale End academy ranks, something that he is now seemingly doing.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano via his X account, Arsenal have reached an agreement to sign 16-year-old Irish prospect Victor Ozhianvuna from Shamrock Rovers. The deal is agreed in principle, with all parties giving the green light, and is expected to be officially completed in January 2027 once the documents are finalised. The post reads:
“Arsenal agree deal to sign 16 year old Irish talent Victor Ozhianvuna from Shamrock Rovers.
Deal done in principle, waiting to sign all documents but green light from all sides to get it sealed in January 2027, as McDonnellDan reveals.
4.5 year contract for Ozhianvuna.”
At 16 years old, Victor Ozhianvuna has already featured in the UEFA Conference League, while he has 15 senior appearances to his name with one goal scored.
So far, Ozhianvuna has featured in an attacking midfield role, as well as both flanks for his side. The youngster has been part of the Irish national team at youth level, playing at under-15s, under-17s and most recently under-18s.
It remains to be seen just what he could become in senior football, but for the next year-and-a-half, that development will be left to Shamrock Rovers before he officially joins up with Arsenal.
