Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare made an instant impact for Ajax on Saturday, scoring just two minutes after coming off the bench in their 2–2 draw against Excelsior.
The Nigerian forward wasted no time announcing his presence, finding the back of the net almost immediately to help Ajax push for all three points. However, Excelsior later fought back to secure a share of the spoils.

Arokodare’s latest goal adds to what has been an impressive start to his time in the Netherlands since joining Ajax. The Super Eagles striker has now registered six goals and two assists in all competitions for his new club, consistently showing his ability to make an impact in front of goal.
His sharp movement, confidence and efficiency in dangerous positions continue to strengthen his case for a regular starting role under Ajax’s technical crew.
The goal also comes as another positive development for Nigeria, with Arokodare and fellow Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho both enjoying strong goalscoring form for their respective clubs.
