Tolu Arokodare continued his impressive goalscoring form after finding the net in Genk’s 1-1 draw against Charleroi in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League on Friday night. The Nigerian striker opened the scoring to register his 18th goal across all competitions this season and further strengthen his position among the league’s top scorers.
The 24-year-old broke the deadlock in the 71st minute with a composed finish, giving Genk hope of securing all three points away from home. However, the hosts responded late in the contest when Daan Heymans converted a penalty in the 89th minute to deny the league leaders victory. Arokodare has now scored 16 league goals while also contributing five assists in 28 appearances, underlining his importance to Genk’s title challenge.
