Super Eagles striker Rafiu Durosinmi marked his Genk debut with a goal, but it was not enough to prevent a 2–1 defeat to Zulte Waregem.

Softfootball gathered that the Nigerian forward found the back of the net in the 39th minute, opening his account for the club in his very first appearance. However, Genk were unable to hold on, as Zulte Waregem fought back to secure a 2–1 victory.

Durosinmi has now joined the likes of Kelechi Iheanacho, who also scored and provided an assist on his debut for Bursaspor, continuing a strong trend of Nigerian forwards making instant impacts at their new clubs.
