Liverpool head into a huge Champions League night against Paris Saint-Germain with belief still alive despite a 2–0 first-leg deficit.
Softfootball notes that the Reds are aiming to overturn the result at Anfield after bouncing back domestically with a comfortable 2–0 win over Fulham, a result that restored confidence ahead of this decisive clash.

The atmosphere at Anfield is expected to play a major role, with the manager stressing its importance throughout his pre-match press conference as reported by liverpool via their youtube channel.
Speaking about the possibility of a comeback, he said:
This situation is it’s retrievable. You can overturn this two. Now, just just first of all remind them what the score was. That was 2-0. Um where it felt completely different as we all know, but the end result was 2-0. And um second of all, we’ve shown so many times this season in big games that we were able to get a great performance… not all of them because not all of us are together for one and a half year. But um for the ones that are that have been with me for in the past one and a half year in the 49 home games we’ve played 46 times we were able to score two goals or more… so yes there’s a belief that we can do special things tomorrow but we also need to be very very special because we’re playing against the champions of Europe.

He also highlighted the importance of approach and mentality, insisting the team will not simply sit back despite PSG’s dominance in possession in the first leg:
The approach tomorrow will be to take the risk… we need to press them… first of all to get the ball off them… and that was the same last season where Anfield did make a big difference for us… I’m expecting it to make a big difference again tomorrow.
Reflecting on the squad’s evolution, he added:
We always knew this was a transition… we sold many players and brought in young talent to create a new cycle… we didn’t bring them in for just one game, but for the future and hopefully special moments at Anfield starting tomorrow.
He concluded by urging belief but realism:
Of course we know we need an exceptional performance… but that’s normal against the champions of Europe. The best way is to start aggressive and try to score first, because a goal can change everything.
