Softfootball understands that Armando Broja didn’t hold back. After months of frustration, setbacks, and silence, the Burnley striker finally had something to shout about, and he made sure people listened.
Speaking ahead of the Burnley game against Everton in a video posted by Burnley via their official X account, following his dramatic last-minute equaliser against Bournemouth, after a disappointing 3-2 defeat to Fulham.

'We've got the desire, the hunger and the togetherness.'

Broja spoke with raw belief about Burnley’s fight to stay in the Premier League.
He said:
We’ve got the quality, we’ve got the desire, the hunger and the togetherness to stay in the Premier League, I see it every single day. Everyone wants to stay up, it’s the best league to be in.
For Burnley, that point ended a brutal run of seven straight defeats. For Broja, it meant even more. His stoppage-time header was his first goal for the club, and it showed.
He admitted he’d almost forgotten what it felt like to score, calling the celebration an amazing feeling, not just for him, but for everyone around the club.

Broja further explained how much Burnley would love to stay in the Premier League and how he and the team are willing to fight to stay in the league.
He said:
We’re going to fight, like I say, every single game that we’ve got the chances. And like I say, hopefully now after this draw and at this point we can build momentum, and we’ve seen how quick things do change.
Broja, who recently joined Burnley from Chelsea after a failed loan spell at Everton in 2024/25, made just 11 appearances and no goals, mostly due to injury.
He has struggled so much with form in front of goal and also faced an injury crisis; the goal definitely means so much to him.

Now, Burnley are hoping this goal isn’t just a moment but a turning point. For Broja, and maybe for their survival too.
