On 14th November 2025, the Estádio 11 de Novembro hosted an international friendly match between the World Champions of Argentina and Angola.
Today against Angola, Messi looked sharp and domineering, a reminder of his role in the 6-0 demolition of Puerto Rico in an International friendly in October 2025. Argentina secured a calm and controlled 2–0 victory after a solid performance in key moments of the match against Angola.

Softfootball earlier predicted in their pre-match analysis that Argentina would have an easy win over Angola with Angola scoring no goals.
The first half had Lautaro Martínez score the first goal for Argentina in the 43rd minute with an assist delivered by Messi. The goal gave Argentina a well-deserved 0–1 lead heading into halftime.
The second half started with Angola fighting for a comeback but their opponents’ defense was solid enough. In the 82nd minute just before the final whistle, Martínez returned the favor, giving Messi the assist which secured their second goal.
The final whistle confirmed a cool 0-2 victory for Argentina. Overall, it was a confident display from Argentina. The attacking partnership of Messi and Martínez proved to be a useful one, showing strong chemistry and efficiency in front of goal.
Argentina confirmed the final result of the match in their official X handle.
