AC Milan have officially snapped up Swiss midfielder Ardon Jashari from Club Brugge in a deal reportedly worth €39 million, making him one of the club’s most expensive signings in history.
Softfootball Understands that The 22-year-old has penned a five-year deal that runs until June 30, 2030, and he’ll wear the No. 30 jersey for the Rossoneri.

The club confirmed the signing on Wednesday, August 6, via an announcement on their website and a pair of celebratory posts on their official X handle. One read simply:
“Now, it’s official. Ardon is one of us! #WelcomeJashari”,
They also made another tweet on X boasting that they have acquired one of the most powerful midfielders in Europe; they tweeted:
“Midfield power incoming. #WelcomeJashari”
Jashari, born in Cham, Switzerland, was a standout performer for Club Brugge last season, where he played a key role in their Belgian Cup triumph. He was also crowned both the Pro League Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year an impressive double that caught the eyes of top clubs across Europe.
But despite strong interest from Chelsea and Bayer Leverkusen, the talented midfielder made his intentions crystal clear: he only wanted AC Milan. According to sources close to the player, Jashari told his agents early in the summer that he wouldn’t consider any other move.
“It was Milan or nothing”
he reportedly said a rare display of loyalty in today’s transfer market.
Milan had to fight hard for their man. Negotiations with Brugge stretched over several months, with the Belgian club digging in their heels on the price. Insiders suggest that Brugge even shifted their valuation more than once, making the deal all the more complex.
At one point, Milan were seriously considering a move for Valencia’s Javi Guerra as talks appeared to stall.

The final agreement sees Milan pay €36 million upfront, with an additional €3 million in add-ons depending on performance-related clauses.
Jashari arrived in Italy on Wednesday morning, completed his medical, and wasted no time joining his new teammates for his first training session under Massimiliano Allegri. His arrival is expected to bring fresh energy and steel to a midfield that has often lacked physical presence and leadership.
AC Milan are also believed to be tracking Young Boys prodigy Zachary Athekame, but for now, all eyes are on Jashari the Rossoneri’s latest big bet in their quest to reclaim European dominance.
