Andre Onana has endured a difficult spell at Manchester United and it appears he is on his way out of the club as the goalkeeper is set to undergo medicals on Thursday before finalizing his move to Turkish side Trabzonspor on a season-long loan.
The Cameroon shotstopper is currently on international duty and featured for the Indomitable Lions in a win over Eswatini but simmering in the background has been the prospect of a move to Trabzonspor.
Softfootball understood that Onana had expected to remain at Old Trafford this season but was pushed down the pecking order following his return from injury and the late arrival of Senne Lammens.

Recently, Onana lost his starting spot at Manchester United, as coach Ruben Amorim decided to put his faith in Turkish goalkeeper Altay Bayındır for Premier League matches this season. The former Inter Milan player has only featured in one game, against Grimsby Town in the Carabao Cup, which ended in a penalty shootout loss.
According to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano via his X handle, the goalkeeper will travel to Turkey on Thursda for his medical exams and to finalize his contract signing. The post reads:
André Onana’s travel to Turkey for Trabzonspor loan move will take place on Thursday.
Medical already booked
The 29-year-old will receive a salary at Trabzonspor similar to what he earned at Manchester United, including specific bonuses and a signing fee, and it could even surpass his previous wages.
This move comes just before the Turkish transfer window closes on September 12, giving Trabzonspor a final opportunity to officially complete the deal.
There is hope from the club that Onana will arrive in time to play Fenerbahce this weekend after the Super Lig side lost their first choice shotstopper, Ugurcan Cakir to Galatasaray less than a week ago.
United hope the move will take at least one element of pressure off Senne Lammens as he prepares for his first stint in the Premier League after joining the club from Royal Antwerp.
It is also hoped that the transfer will allow Andre Onana the opportunity to start on a regular basis and to find his own confidence and form back.
