Amorim reveals what Benjamin Sesko brings to Manchester United

Ruben Amorim has carefully outlined what latest signing Benjamin Sesko will bring to Manchester United after he completed his move to Old Trafford for £74 million on a five years deal, Softfootball reports.

The highly rated 22-year-old completed his medical on Friday and penned his deal on Saturday morning. He was unveiled to fans alongside fellow summer signings Matheus Cunha, Diego Leon and Bryan Mbeumo just before the Snapdragon Cup against Fiorentina.

Sesko watched as his teammates battled to a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes before winning 5-4 on penalties. Amorim expressed excitement over the signing of the player and told Manchester United’s official club media that he trusts that the player would deliver at Old Trafford.

Amorim said:

“He has the characteristics that we needed. Ben is a player – with all the information that we have – that we need to stop the guy from working, not the opposite!

“So that is also important. He’s really young. He’s good in the air, he’s good at running the channels, good on the ball. I think he has great potential. I think he can improve a lot and, for sure, he is going to feel at home in our club. He has the right character to be in this group, so I’m really happy to have him.”

Amorim wasn’t sure Sesko will be ready to face Arsenal next week Sunday in Manchester United’s premier league opener but he is confident that the former RB Leipzig forward can settle in quickly with his new teammates.

Amorim declared:

“That is important. He is going to notice, since the first day and first training that he is in the right place.

“He is going to a new building [at Carrington], that is also important. Things are getting better but, in the end, we need to win games.”
