Allegri Praises Nkunku After Frenchman Nets First Serie A Goals for AC Milan

AC Milan head coach Massimiliano Allegri has heaped praise on Chris Nkunku after the French forward opened his Serie A account in emphatic fashion, delivering a standout performance in Milan’s convincing 3-0 victory over Hellas Verona earlier today, Softfootball reports.

Nkunku marked a major milestone by scoring his first two Serie A goals for the Rossoneri, playing a key role as Milan cruised past Verona with a dominant display. The goals were a timely reward for a player who has steadily worked his way into Allegri’s plans after an adaptation period earlier in the season.

According to Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle, Allegri highlighted Nkunku’s natural goal threat and growing influence within the squad, saying:

Massimiliano Allegri: I’m happy with Chris Nkunku. These goals are in his DNA, he wanted to make an impact, he can do even better. First two Serie A goals today to open his score with AC Milan.

The 26-year-old joined AC Milan from Chelsea in the summer in a €35m deal, arriving with high expectations following an injury-hit spell in England. While his start to life in Italy was measured, Nkunku has gradually found his rhythm, contributing both goals and creativity in the final third.

So far this Serie A campaign, Nkunku has registered two goals and two assists in 12 league appearances, numbers that reflect his increasing confidence and influence as Milan push for consistency in domestic competition. His latest performance will only strengthen Allegri’s trust in him as a key attacking option.

With his first league goals now on the board, Nkunku will be hoping this display serves as a launchpad for an even stronger second half of the season, as AC Milan look to build momentum and stay on top of the Serie A table.
