In an exclusive interview, 20-year-old Serbian midfielder Aleksandar Stanković has opened up about his rising career at Club Brugge and his long-term ambition to return to Inter Milan, Softfootball reports.
As confirmed by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on his official X handle, Stanković openly declared his love for Inter, describing himself as a devoted fan of the club and expressing hope that he will one day wear the Nerazzurri shirt again.
Romano reported as follows:
Aleksandar Stanković: “My dream is to return to Inter. I’m an Inter fan and I love the club”. “I hope one day it will happen”, told Sky Sport.

The talented midfielder, who is the son of former Inter star Dejan Stanković, has continued to build his reputation in Belgium with composed performances in midfield.
Stanković previously captained Serbia to the semi-finals of the 2022 UEFA European Under-17 Championship and also led the Serbia U18 side after receiving his first call-up in September 2022. Valued at around €15 million, the defensive midfielder has attracted interest from Arsenal, Chelsea, and Borussia Dortmund. However, recent reports suggest Inter Milan are preparing a €23 million bid to bring him back at the end of the season.
Recall that, Brentford recently secured teenage striker Kaye Furo from Club Brugge in a deal reportedly worth €10 million plus add-ons, including a hefty sell-on clause in a move believed to show their seriousness about investing in youth with real potential.
Elsewhere, the January 2026 window has not only been busy for players but it has also brutal for managers with several high-profile names departing their roles between January 1 and February 11.
