Al Nassr Step Up Pursuit of Bayern Star Kingsley Coman with Big-Money Offer

Al Nassr have officially opened club-to-club talks with Bayern Munich over the signing of Kingsley Coman, submitting their first bid on Friday, according to multiple reports including transfer insider Fabrizio Romano.

The French winger, who’s been at Bayern since 2017 and remains under contract until 2027, is said to be open to a move to the Saudi Pro League.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, posting on his official X account, revealed:

“Understand Kingsley Coman is open to joining Al Nassr as talks are well underway between all parties. Al Nassr have sent official bid to Bayern on Friday, as exclusively revealed. Deal absolutely on.”

Softfootball understands that Coman is Al Nassr’s priority target for the left wing following the recent arrivals of Iñigo Martínez and João Félix. The Saudi giants are reportedly offering him a net salary in the region of €20–25 million per year until 2028 a huge jump from his current €17 million gross annual pay packet in Germany.

Bayern are understood to be open to selling the 28-year-old, largely due to his high wages, but negotiations are still at an early stage and no final agreement has been reached.

Sources suggest that while an official offer has been tabled by Al Nassr, Bayern have yet to fully sign off on the numbers. Coman himself hasn’t made a definitive decision on his future.

The Bundesliga champions have already reinforced their left flank with Luis Díaz, signed from Liverpool in a deal worth £65.5 million including add-ons. That signing has made Coman’s exit more likely, though Bayern will still look to get a respectable fee before parting ways.

Earlier in the summer, Newcastle United were linked with Coman, but the Premier League club have since shifted focus to finding a replacement for potentially Liverpool-bound Alexander Isak. Eddie Howe’s shortlist reportedly includes Yoane Wissa, Nicolas Jackson, and Samu Aghehowa.

For now, all eyes are on Riyadh. If Al Nassr get their man, they’ll be adding another Champions League winner to a squad already brimming with European pedigree.
