Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade is expected to make a decision about her club future after the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Softfootball understands that the Nigerian forward’s next move will be considered after the continental tournament, with her future at club level attracting considerable interest.

Ajibade has established herself as one of Nigeria’s most influential women’s footballers, combining technical quality, attacking ability and leadership.

The Atletico Madrid forward has also played a major role for the Super Falcons, wearing the captain’s armband and helping the team compete at the highest level.

Her decision is expected to come after the tournament, allowing her to concentrate fully on Nigeria’s campaign before turning attention to her club career.

Ajibade’s performances have made her an attractive player for clubs looking to strengthen their attacking options. The Nigerian international previously became an important figure at Atletico Madrid, where she developed into one of the team’s prominent attacking players.

Her future has consequently remained a subject of interest among supporters following her decision to focus on international duties.

The upcoming WAFCON is therefore likely to provide another opportunity for Ajibade to demonstrate her quality on the continental stage. After the tournament, she is expected to assess her options before deciding the next step in her career.

For now, the Super Falcons captain remains focused on representing Nigeria and helping the team achieve its objectives.
