Former Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has revealed that he has no intention of owning another football club following his departure from Stamford Bridge.
Softfootball reports that the Russian billionaire was forced to sell Chelsea after the UK government imposed sanctions following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Abramovich had owned Chelsea for almost two decades and oversaw one of the most successful periods in the club’s history.
During his ownership, Chelsea won numerous major trophies, including the Premier League, FA Cup, UEFA Champions League and Europa League.
The club also became one of the biggest spenders in European football under his leadership.
Despite the success achieved at Chelsea, Abramovich now appears to have ruled out returning to football ownership.
His departure brought an end to a highly influential era at Stamford Bridge.
The billionaire’s ownership transformed Chelsea into a consistent contender for domestic and European honours.
Although he is no longer involved with the club, his legacy remains closely connected to the success Chelsea achieved during his tenure.
