Karl’s rapid rise has made him one of the most talked-about young prospects in Germany.

Earlier in January, Softfootball reported that his agent, Michael Ballack, clarified remarks the midfielder made about Real Madrid CF being his childhood dream club.

The comments had unsettled sections of the Bayern fanbase, but Ballack emphasized that Karl remains fully committed to Bayern’s project.

Reports have also indicated that the new contract includes a specific clause allowing Real Madrid to trigger a €30 million release option during the 2027 summer transfer window a provision that adds further intrigue to his long-term future.

Turning 18 and already securing a deal until 2029 represents a major milestone in Karl’s development. Bayern view him not just as a promising academy product but as a potential cornerstone of the next generation at the Allianz Arena.

Still on Bayern news, Alphonso Davies endured another injury scare during the Bundesliga clash against Eintracht Frankfurt on February 21, 2026.

The 25-year-old left-back was forced off in the 50th minute after appearing to injure his left ankle, with Hiroki Ito coming on as Bayern led 2–0. The club now awaits further assessment on the extent of the issue.
