Kader Meïté has agreed to join Al Hilal in a major transfer move, despite strong links to Manchester United and interest from several Premier League clubs. The deal was confirmed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on his official X account, stating that an agreement is now in place with Rennes and on the player’s side.
SoftFootball gathered that the transfer fee is around €30 million, highlighting Al Hilal’s commitment to securing one of Europe’s brightest young prospects.
Romano wrote:
“Kader Meïté to Al Hilal, here we go! Agreement in place with Rennes and also player side right now. Fee around €30m, 18 year old talent picks Al Hilal and Simone Inzaghi’s project seen as ideal step despite approaches from Premier League clubs. Meïté set for medical next.”

Meanwhile, Aston Villa continue to strengthen their squad. Douglas Luiz has completed a loan return to the club for the remainder of the 2025–26 season, with an option to buy for €25 million, rising to €28.5 million with add-ons.
Villa also recently welcomed Tammy Abraham back on a permanent deal, with the striker expressing delight at returning after seven years.
