Softfootball understands that Paris Saint-Germain has wrapped up the signing of Barcelona’s highly rated young talent Dro Fernández, a move that underlines the club’s continued push toward building with youth as much as stars.
The Champions League holders, who recently defeated Auxerre 1-0 in Ligue 1, confirmed the arrival quietly, but the excitement around the teenager is already starting to grow, especially after his first words as a PSG player.

Speaking shortly after completing the move in a video posted by PSG via their official X account, Dro struggled to hide how much the moment meant to him.
He said:
I’m very happy, incredibly excited, It’s a proud moment for me and my family. I can’t wait to get started.
There was a mix of nerves and joy in his voice, the kind you expect from a player taking a big step so early in his career.
Leaving Barcelona was not an easy decision, but Dro believes it was the right one.
He stated:
Joining PSG is a new step for me. It’s a big step. I made this decision because I want to keep growing, and I believe this is the best place to do it.
He paused briefly before adding that sometimes football is also about feeling, not just planning everything too much. When asked to describe himself as a player, Dro kept it simple.

He explained:
I’m a creative player. I like to run with the ball, I try to make good decisions, and I think I’m entertaining to watch.
It’s the kind of profile PSG fans usually enjoy, players who are not afraid to express themselves on the pitch.

Another major factor behind the move was PSG’s belief in young footballers.
Dro admitted:
That’s why I’m here,I believe there’s no better place to grow right now. The current youth project here is incredible. Thanks to the coach and everyone who made it possible. That’s really important for a young player.
Dro finished by looking ahead rather than back. He spoke about training, learning, and finally stepping onto the pitch at the stadium. stating that he cannot wait to get started. For PSG, this signing may not grab headlines like others, but it feels like one for the future.
